The link above describes a project using the EEG sensor directly connected, not wireless (which they felt is the easier way to do it, though the soldering is tight).

In the discussion board that follows the main blog article, someone mentions using a BlueSMiRF as the communications link to the Arduino (not trying to take the receiver out of the game).  I have found in further research that the BlueSMiRF uses the 2.4GHz band.
